Trying to stay busy

It is so blasted hot here that we have been going a little stir crazy being stuck inside all day! So I have been doing my best trying to keep Cam busy with fun indoor activities. Play Dough creations. We used cookie cutters and cupcake toppers for our designs.

We made brownies for our neighbors, they keep bringing Duke back when he escapes.

3 of my favorite things: Baking, Chocolate and Camo

This is my favorite! We have been reading a lot of books. I found Cam 'reading' her puppy book to Layne.

The reason Layne is placed randomly on the kitchen floor is because this morning while I was cleaning up after breakfast I heard Camo grunting. I looked up and she had

Layne completely undressed (ready for her bath) and was trying to carry her around the living room!!! So I haven't let Layne out of my sight since then, because Cam thinks she can carry her. It's pretty scary!

Rolling Over!

Layne rolled over for the first time on Saturday. Today she can't stop herself, she just keeps flipping over. Trying so hard
Now what?
(sorry about the drool, but it's hard work rolling over!)

a bit of randomness

Just some bits and pieces from our week.

Cam checks on Layne all the time while she in napping. This is how I found them one afternoon, all snuggled up.

Here is one of our very first home-grown apples. We have four apple trees and they all produced good fruit this year! I bottled 4 jars of apple pie filling. YUMMY!

And this is how I found Camo the other morning. I think she woke up and was getting out of bed and then fell back asleep! That's what I feel like doing sometimes.

Markee!!!

While we were in Eagar we had all the kids outside watching them play. We turned on some music and I guess Markee couldn't help herself.

We got the funniest dancing show on earth!
I realize that if you do not know Markee, this is not funny. But if you know her, this is stinkin' hilarious!

Layne is 3 months

Layne is 3 months now and is just the sweetest baby in the world!

A few things about her:

She is a thumb sucker. She's gotta have it! I'm never looking for a Binky so I don't mind!

She gives the best smiles! Even if she is crying she can look at you and turn all smiles!

She is trying really hard to roll over, but nothing yet!

One of those mornings!

Cam woke up a little late but we still managed to bathe, get dressed, do hair and get out the door by ten with smiles on our faces.

We were headed to story time at the library. (Starts at 10:30, we had plenty of time.)

On the drive over I realized I took the stroller out of the trunk that had Camo's shoes in it. crap!

That's ok we still had time to stop by target(right next to the library) and get a cheap pair of flip flops.

When I got Cam out of her car seat she was COVERED in chocolate. ( I had accidentally left a piece in there the night before!)

I got her cleaned up, it still looked like she pooped her pants, but it had to do!

Since she had no shoes and there wasn't a shopping cart in sight I had to carry Cam on my hip and Layne's car seat under my arm.

By the time we made it across the parking lot and in to the store I knew we were not going to make it to story time. Grrrrr!

So we went shoe shopping and went to the library anyways.

We missed story time, but we did get 5 books and 2 princess movies.

Camo was satisfied!

Maybe we will make story time next week.

oh yeah, if you see a mom with a car seat on one arm and a toddler on the other open the door for her!!!!

Just a few pictures from the fourth of July in Eagar. I didn't get any at the parade because the girls slept through a lot of it and then when Cam woke up she was scared to death of the giant statue of liberty. Very traumatic. At the Hamblins flag raising

We have been in Eagar for the past week, enjoying the weather and cousins. We have been playing outside all day, which makes for really cute pictures.
