Markee asked for more pictures of the girls, which is good because I have a lot of pictures I need to get off my camera. A little random but here they are.

For FHE we pulled weeds in the front yard. Layne sat in her bouncy chair and showed off her new skill of turning on the music, by pulling on the toy flower. She was pretty proud of herself.

While Layne did that Cam did this...

We went to Eagar this weekend, the only picture I took was of my parents house. I LOVE the front porch. I also LOVE that my Grandpa built it and that my Dad continues to fix it up. Lots of good memories in that house..for a lot of people.

Last week while Colleen was here we had a sleepover with Aunt Manda. I think Cam stayed up longer than anyone else!







While we were in Eagar Duke got hit by a car. We were all pretty sad, but Cam has been the saddest. And you can see why, they were such good little buddies.



Cam didn't notice he was gone until we got back to Las Vegas. She looked around the house and then asked me if he was outside. When I told her that he died she cried really hard and then started asking me all sorts of questions.
She keeps telling us she wants a new Dukie.
She also saved half of her string cheese for him today. She doesn't quite get it!

weekend update

We have been having fun this weekend and I have a lot of pictures to show for it. So here they are in no particular order.

She is a perfect floater, as long as she can suck her thumb

We filled the turtle with water and Cam played in it forever.

FYI: I added dish soap to the water. It keeps bees away. We have a bee problem in the back yard!This is how I found Layne. I guess Cam thought she needed a princess crown.

The Hads invited us to a fun mall that had a great play area for the kids. Of course Cam and Ryder loved it.

I love this picture. Rylee was ordering cake from Ryder and he demanded money! (look at his little hand waiting for it). Rylee was shocked to say the least!

The best news of the weekend is that Dan passed his final Journeyman test!!!! It wasn't easy and he really had to stick with it, but he did and we are so proud of him!!!

When I told Camo that dad was a 'journeyman' she said "oh I love junior mints!"

What am I going to do with her?

This is how a conversation just went with me and Camdyn:

Cam: "Mom" -walking toward the door with her Cinderella purse, filled with marshmallow.


Me: "what Cam?"


Camo: " I am taking this to Branson(her friend from nursery). Is that going to be a problem?"

here she is eating her marshmallows out of her Cinderella "purse bag" as she calls it.

Just a few things I learned in one week:

• Relief Society does exist! I just got released from nursery.
• Cam can go to nursery with out me.
• If I don't push the stop button "The Little Mermaid" will replay and replay and replay.
• It I sit by Bishop during Sunday school he will take over baby duty.
• Layne loves to laugh
• If I bring up the time I called my husband a Jackass he will still get mad. (it was funny, I have witnesses.)
• Ryder is the cutest birthday boy ever!
• Cam can and does sleep by herself. all night. all by herself.
• Duke would swim the ocean to get to our neighbor's dog.
• Layne cannot sit up, no matter how many times Cam tries. poor baby.
• Camel spiders do exist...and live in our garage!
• We have all sorts of critters out here. Found a mouse and a man eating lizard in our yard.
• Cam can eat her weight in Popsicles
• me+fave red starbursts=disaster
• Layne is ready for the big girl crib, mom is not.
• I couldn't live without my double stroller.
• Alphabet flash cards do work.
• the young men in our ward love Dan
• play-doh is non toxic
• being married to Dan is never dull
• high fructose corn syrup is in everything! grrrr!
• I worry about Race
• realize worrying does nothing
• worry anyway
• someone forgets the sacrament bread on Sunday means no toast for us on Monday

Who said being a stay at home mom is boring?

Layne's 4 month stats

Layne had her 4 month check up today. She is 13 lbs 15 oz. and 25 inches long. Which puts her about average for weight and a little on the tall side. But compared to Camo she is a giant.

She is developing the cutest personality. Her two favorite sources of entertainment are Duke and Camo. Every time Duke barks she bursts out laughing, she thinks he is so funny.

She cannot take her eyes off of Camdyn. The sillier Cam is the harder Layne laughs. So Cam has turned into the queen of physical comedy. If she falls over or bonks her head Layne just thinks that is the best. And of course Cam can turn it on!

She still is the best baby EVER! She is so content and happy with everything. She sleeps for 7-8 hours at night then eats and goes back to sleep. I couldn't ask for more.

San Diego 2009

We had such a good time at Mission Beach this year, like always! Cam loved every second we were there. Dan joined us on the last day which made it even better! I just uploaded a million pictures and they are not very organized but here they are.
