I guess a 'Turdis' is a cross between a Turtle and a Tortoise, or Daniel is just really confused. I'll let you decide;). I know this isn't super exciting, but Daniel keeps asking me if I put it on here yet, so I guess I better. We came across this guy out behind our house. He blends in with the landscape so well I almost stepped on him. Camdyn thought he was so cool and now asks of 'tutle' all the time.
I read that these guys live to be 80-100 years old! I bet he will still be in the same spot in 10 years because he wasn't moving very fast.
home sweet home
Duke was afraid of him, but that's good because I think they are endangered.

Do you have him in your yard? I wish we could have seen him! That is so cool.
That is awesome! Remember all those that we have killed/lost through the years bringing or trying to bring them back from Missouri? Take good care of him!
Put him in your yard and keep him as a friend!
Girl, here in Florida we call those gophers. I guess gopher tortise is what they are here. We have one in our back yard as well. Wes said we can get fined or go to jail if we mess with him. So we let him be. Also, I have heard that rattlesnakes like to live in the holes with them. So I don't put my hand close!!(-: So becareful with your curious little one, and Duke too!
he is so cute! i bet he will stick around forever how cool!
I've been thinking that "tortal" might be better than turdis.
I want to change the spelling on that to tortle. There... that's better.
How cute!!!! I don't know about the turdis (it kinda sounds like a "Dan" word). I want to come and see it!
