Today was one of those days when I realized Camdyn is growing up. It usually sneaks up on me and I think, "when did she get tall enough to open a door?" or "since when can she put on her own shoes?"
But today she has shown me she doesn't need to be with me all the time. This afternoon she told me she was going to the Hamblin's. She didn't ask, she told me. She marched right over and knocked on the door. (This is a big deal! I can't even go to the bathroom with out her crying outside the door!)
I went to get her and she actually started crying when I tried to get her to come with me. So she stayed... for over an hour! Rachel played with her for so long, she is such a nice girl.
Then tonight we went to Grammie and Grandpa's after dinner to visit. When it was time to go she wanted me to leave her there. Even though it was close to her bedtime I had to let her stay. I had to let her be a big girl.
Evidence that she doesn't need me as much as she used to. I feel like doing a dance and crying all at the same time. ;)
And what is a post without a picture? This is how I found her asleep the other night.
I Love this girl. It is fun being her mommy.

I love this post. She is so big and of course she is going to be so independent...I just might take some time. Love the picture of her sleeping!
