Rylee had us all read his first book ULTRAMARATHON MAN and he has a new book called RUN! He is really funny and has some pretty good stories from all the running he does.
So back to this morning...we found him running not to far past the state line. Me being the overly, outgoing person that I am :) I decided to drop my mom off and wait up ahead while my mom ran with him. (I also had the girls with me and couldn't leave them in the tuck on the side of the road while I ran a mile).
While I waited a guy from his team asked if I would take the picture while they were running so Dean wouldn't have to stop. He said we always try to maintain "forward motion" Totally understandable, He is trying to run across the counrty for goodness sake.
So I snapped a few pictures while they were running. My mom was a little bit behind him and he clapped his hands and yelled "come on mom!"
When they got to us he was so nice and asked if we wanted a picture together...then he was off.

i am so glad you guys went and found him! he is beyond incredible. i'm jealous too though, wish i could have been there! he seems like the nicest ever. how cool that mom can say she RAN with the ultra marathon man!! oh and i enlarged the picture to figure out what the heck was on his nips. i'm assuming its just to protect them or something. haha
I was wondering the same things ryles! Gotta be for protection! He is a crazy nut job! I love it mom that you ran with him!

That is so awesome! I'm only a little jealous of your mom because I am SO out of shape and running with him would've KILLED me! But still so neat.
That's AMAZING!!! I just had to comment! So cool for your mom to get to run with him! Definitly an experience to never forget!
No way! How awesome was that day for your mom...she LOVES to run. I wonder if he's already been through Oklahoma? My husband and I watched a documentary thing on him a month or so ago and he runs forever because his body doesn't produce lactic acid, or something like that. He is able to get rid of it before it even effects him. COOL!
